Children born in 2012 should be registering for Junior (and children born in 2011 can register for Senior Kindergarten) Optional attendance applications are due to the school by February 19th, 2016 (for in-district students only) Kindergarten starting in September 2016.

When you come to register please bring the following documentation with you:

1) Child’s birth certificate or passport

2) Child’s Record of Immunization

3) Proof of your address (2 pieces) ie. Lease agreement, driver’s license

4) Child’s Health Card

The Eco-Team is organizing a Winter Walk to School Day on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, and serving hot chocolate starting at 8:30am until 9am. The Eco-Team would appreciate if a few extra parent volunteers could help with serving the hot chocolate — arrival time at the school: 8:15am.

Please join in welcoming Ms. Ucar to Huron! Ms. Ucar will be here as the principal during Ms. Howe’s absence and on behalf of everyone we would like to thank Ms. Ucar for her support.

FUNDRAISING TOTALS
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone in the Huron Community who supported our fundraising projects over the past few weeks. Our Acorn fundraising earned us just over $1500.00 in profits and we hope that everyone is enjoying their products. Our Bake Sale, held before the Winter Concert, made $425.50 and this money will be used to support music programs here at Huron. With our Red Nose sales we raised over $850.00 and this money will be going to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success to support TDSB students in need. And on December 17th and 18th we delivered over 15 boxes of donated non-perishable food to our local fire station who then took it to the Daily Bread Food Bank. A huge thank you to the adults who loaded up their vehicles and helped deliver these boxes for us!
