Dollar Store Errand Runner

This job involves making a trip to a dollar store or two to purchase some items required for Astronomy Night. The purchases will be reimbursed through parent council. We plan to have a list of items to be purchased from a dollar store ready on Wednesday afternoon (2012-02-29).
Set Up Assistant
Yes, I will assist in setting up the astronomy event!

This job involves helping the Astronomy club and Huron staff prepare the school in advance of Family Astronomy Night. Parents doing this job should arrive at the school near 6pm to receive further instructions.
Room Monitor
Yes, I will serve as a room monitor!

Volunteers doing this job will be stationed in the library or a classroom to monitor the activities. 5th and 6th grade kids in the astronomy club will be leading activities. The room monitor will help keep things under control.
Snack Sales

Snacks and hot chocolate will be sold at the astronomy event. The proceeds will be returned to parent council. Volunteers doing this job will assist in running the snack stand.
Huron Astronomy Ambassador Support

Some kids in the astronomy club will act as "ambassadors" who guide visitors to various events, distribute the passports and flyers, etc. Volunteers involved in this role will support these activities.
Clean up

Volunteers working on this job will help clean up Huron after the event and prepare it for a regular Friday for learning. This job will involve staying at Huron after the family night event. Hopefully, all clean up can be completed by 9pm or shortly thereafter.
