Huron Happening – Nov. 5, 2018

REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY

Our school ceremony to mark Remembrance Day will be help on Friday November 9th, 2018 beginning at approximately 10:45am. Any parents/caregivers are welcome to attend along with all our students and staff.

Again this year, a member of our broader Huron Community has arranged for a special donation of poppy stickers from The Royal Canadian Legion – one for each student to wear during the ceremony. We also have a donation box on the counter in the Main Office for anyone who would like to make a donation and don a poppy over the next few days.

At this time we always encourage our Huron families to make a donation to The Royal Canadian Legion and their Poppy Campaign. All the money donated here at the school will be picked up by a RCL branch member and go directly to support veterans and their families. If you would consider sending a loonie or toonie with your child this week, classroom teachers will be collecting all donations.

Thanks to everyone for your support – and we hope to see many of you at our ceremony on Friday.

PIZZA LUNCH

It’s Pizza Lunch again! Our next Pizza Lunch is Wednesday, November 7th, 2018. The deadline to order pizza has passed and pizza has already been ordered for next Wednesday. If there are any extra slices they will be available for $3.00 each – but please also make sure your child has a lunch on Wednesday as extra slices are not always available.
