SKATE NIGHT
A very big thank you to the amazing parents who organized our Annual Skate Night last Friday. Everyone who was there had a great time and we are pleased to let you know that we raised $722.25. This money will go to support our Health and Physical Education programs as well as equipment for our students to use outside on the playground.
TERRY FOX
Two important “Terry Fox” events are happening this week at Huron. Our Annual Terry Fox Walk is happening on Tuesday (April 12th) in the afternoon and then on Wednesday afternoon, Terry’s brother Fred will be visiting Huron for an assembly after lunch (at approx. 1:00pm). Parents/caregivers are very welcome to join us at both events – and in particular we are really hoping for additional adult volunteers for our walk on Tuesday afternoon. If you are available please plan to join us.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PINK
Wednesday April 13th is “International Day of Pink. The Day of Pink is the International Day against bullying, discrimination, homophobia, transphobia and Transmisogyny across the world. Please remember to wear something pink today as Huron celebrates diversity!
P.A.DAY
A reminder to everyone that next Friday, April 15th, 2016 is a P.A. DAY. There is no school for students on Friday.
